The community is bounded by Bayshore Drive and Crestview Drive, just
south of Pacific Coast Highway and north of lido Isle.
Homes:
There are 249 custom homes in Bayshores, of which 33 are bay front
properties.
Style:
Bayshores homes could best be described as traditional, California
Ranch-style, with a number of custom-built locations.

Houses were individually built.
Age of
neighborhood:
Bayshores dates back to 1941, when the first home was built by Bill
Cagney. By 1947 there were 18 custom homes, built as summer cottages
with no furnaces.
Community
Features:
Best known for its meandering tree-lined streets and community
atmosphere, this unique gate- guarded neighborhood offers two
private beaches, a children's
play yard and access to yacht marinas.
Community sponsored activities include the renown
Opening Day party, replete with band, bake sale, games for all ages,
a dunk tank, bicycle parade and much more. There is also a
children's Easter Party, summer camp for children, Monday night
barbecues at the beach, Wednesday night volleyball games, Halloween
activities and a Christmas tea.
Bayshores is known for its casual beach-type
living and a strong sense of community.
Schools:
Children attend either Newport Heights Elementary, Ensign Junior
High or Newport Harbor High School.
Shopping:
Bayshores is a short drive from Fashion Island and Westcliff Plaza.
